NSC Releases Roadmap for Safe and Sustainable Advanced Materials 2024-2030
In a bid to address pressing environmental and health concerns, the Nano Safety Cluster (NSC) has unveiled a comprehensive roadmap titled “Roadmap Safe and Sustainable Advanced and Innovative Materials 2024-2030.” This strategic document outlines a path towards the development and utilization of advanced materials that are not only innovative but also safe and sustainable.
The need for safe and sustainable design of innovative advanced materials has never been more critical. As we grapple with the repercussions of past industrial practices, including the use of hazardous substances and unsustainable manufacturing processes, there is an urgent call for action to mitigate the negative impacts on human health and the environment.
The current situation serves as a compelling reason to prioritize activities aligned with the objectives outlined in this roadmap. It underscores the importance of proactive measures to prevent a future where we are constantly playing catch-up due to past ignorance. Instead, the focus should be on achieving a successful transformation towards a safe, sustainable, and toxic-free world.
